Looking after your tattoo properly is just as important as the tattoo itself.
Good aftercare helps your tattoo heal cleanly, settle well and keep its detail over time.
Below is everything you need to know before and after your appointment at DR--INK Tattoo.
Before your appointment
A little preparation goes a long way in helping your tattoo heal well.
Please make sure you read the following carefully:
• Please do not drink alcohol for at least 24 hours before your appointment.
Alcohol can thin the blood and affect healing.
• Numbing creams are not used at DR INK Tattoo.
• Touch ups are sometimes part of the process.
Depending on how your skin heals, you may need to return for a touch up appointment.
• Please do not bring children to your appointment.
The studio is a calm, private space and is strictly for clients only.
If you have any concerns before your appointment, get in contact with Becks.
After your appointment
Once your tattoo is finished, aftercare begins straight away.
You'll be talked through everything before you leave the studio.

Tattoo butter
At DR INK Tattoo, YAYO Bubblicious Tattoo Butter is used for aftercare.
This is supplied in a single 15ml pot.
Price £5.00
Directions for use:
Apply a thin layer of the tattoo butter to your new tattoo two to three times daily, or as needed, for up to four weeks. Always apply with clean hands.
Following the aftercare instructions carefully will help your tattoo heal beautifully and retain its vibrancy.
